Take a drive back into history when you enter the limestone entrance of the 11.5 acre Heritage Village site. As you drive down the winding driveway, treat your eyes to a seasonal feast of Texas wildflowers, native grasses and towering live oak trees. Nestled in this park-like setting is the historic Breustedt-Dillen house, home of the Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture. This pristine white farmhouse is surrounded by restored outbuildings and an ever growing assembly of scale model shops that form the nucleus of our newly featured Heritage Village—Living History Experience.

This quaint and tranquil setting waxes nostalgic for older generations who visit to relive memories of the early days while at the same time presenting a wonderland of living history for younger generations studying early pioneer life in Texas. The members of the Heritage Society of New Braunfels, Inc., caretakers of this historic site, welcome you to their homestead where "preserving the past" is a lifestyle we wish to share with visitors young and old for many years to come.
